Claim the electricity relief you qualify for.

The BICS application window closes on 30 November 2026. We screen your sites with half-hourly data, prepare the evidence, file to the Department for Business and Trade, and stay with it until the exemption lands on your bills, then keep it there year after year.

Start with a free eligibility screen No cost, no commitment. We tell you if BICS is worth your time.

What we do

Six stages, one accountable team.

01

Data-led eligibility screen

We screen all your sites in one pass using Enerlyse, our energy data analytics service, checking consumption patterns and scheme criteria, including the Supercharger-first guidance, before anything is filed.

02

Evidence pack

SIC and HS code verification, consumption pro-rating and the supporting evidence, assembled and checked so the application stands on accurate figures.

03

Client authorisation

We handle the formal authorisation required for us to act: officer verification or a signed letter of authority, set up correctly from the start.

04

Application filing

We file the application to the Department for Business and Trade and manage the submission through to acknowledgement.

05

Supplier liaison

We liaise with your supplier until the exemption is applied to your bills, and check it has landed correctly.

06

Ongoing service

Annual declarations, re-screening and continued supplier liaison, so the relief keeps flowing without your team chasing it.

Pricing

Fixed, transparent, and lower than the market.

We charge 2% of verified relief where competitors typically charge 5%. The ongoing service, covering annual declarations, supplier liaison and re-screening, is included rather than dropped after filing.

Setup, per site

£300

Enerlyse clients £150

Ongoing, per site per month

£45

Annual declarations, supplier liaison and re-screening included

Success fee

2%

Of verified relief, fixed, not a percentage that grows with the market

SIC adjustment, per company

£250

One-off fee, covering work with your accounts team or company secretary on the Companies House confirmation statement filing

Relief is worth roughly £35 to £40 per MWh on published averages, applying from April 2027 (RO/FiT) and October 2027 (Capacity Market).

What the SIC adjustment fee covers: BICS is assessed on your Companies House register, so the eligible SIC code must be on it before the application goes in. The fee covers identifying the correct SIC code for your manufacturing activity and working with whoever files your confirmation statement, usually your accounts team or company secretary, so the register is right before we file.

Why Hawley Energy

Screened with data, not guesswork.

The screen is data-led. Enerlyse, our energy data analytics service, checks consumption patterns and scheme criteria across all of your sites in one pass, including whether Supercharger-first guidance applies, so you do not file for relief you cannot claim.

The pricing is fixed and published. 2% success fee against the market's 5%, with the ongoing service included. No professional membership is needed on your side.

The Companies House detail is handled. BICS is assessed on your Companies House register at submission, and an eligible SIC code must be on the register. If yours needs updating, the confirmation statement route typically takes 24 to 48 hours and we manage the liaison.

Authorisation is done properly. Formal client authorisation is required, by officer verification or a signed letter of authority, and as the applicant you retain responsibility for the accuracy of the information filed. We set that out plainly in our terms.
